Gaviscon Liquid brings relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion caused by gastric reflux and related conditions such as hiatus hernia and reflux oesophagitis. It belongs to a group of medicines called 'reflux suppressants' and contains ingredients often prescribed by doctors. It does not contain sugar or gluten.
Indications:
- Relief of heartburn and acid indigestion (also known as dyspepsia).
- Relief of symptoms of conditions eg, hiatus hernia and reflux oesophagitis (inflamed food pipe), including symptoms of laryngopharyngeal reflux such as hoarseness and other voice disorders, sore throats and cough.
- Treat symptoms of gastrooesophageal reflux during concomitant treatment with or following withdrawal of acid suppressing therapy.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- Adults, including elderly and children above 12 years: 1-2 sachets after meals and at bedtime, or as directed.
- Children below 12 years: Should only be given only on medical advice.
- Shake well before use.
- Tear, squeeze, take.
- Can be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Cautions:
- If symptoms persist, consult your doctor's advice.
- Each 10mL contains 6.2mmol of sodium. If you have been adviced to follow a low sodium diet, ask your doctor before taking this product.
- Do not take if you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- 2 hours interval between Gaviscon intake and other medicines.
- Store below 30°C. Do not refrigerate.
