Panadol Extra is suitable for customers who want the benefits of Panadol, plus a little more pain relieving power from strong pain such as tension headaches, bad backaches and period pain. Data shows that this dual-action formulation has up to 37% more pain-relieving power than standard Panadol. Despite this extra effect, it remains gentle on stomach.
Indications: Gentle relief from strong pain and discomfort associated with headaches (including migrains), body aches, muscular aches and pains, cold and flu symptoms, joint pain/osteoarthritis, period pain, toothaches and sore throat.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
Adults (including the elderly) and children 12 years and above: 1-2 caplets to be taken every 4-6 hours as required. Maximum daily dose: 8 caplets (4000mg Paracetamol/ 520mg Caffeine).
Do not give to children under the age of 12 years.
Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Maximum duration of continued use without medical advice: 3 days.
Cautions:
Not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.
Do not use if you are is allergic to paracetamol and/or caffeine.
Allergy alert: Paracetamol may cause severe skin reactions. Symptoms may include skin reddening, blisters and rash. If these reactions occur, stop use and seek medical assistance right away.
Do not use this medicine if you are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.
Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time.
Avoid other caffeine-containing products. Too much caffeine may cause rapid heart rate, nervousness or sleeplessness.
